OREGON COAST BEACHES

Arcadia Beach: Just 3 miles south of Cannon Beach, Arcadia Beach offers a peaceful escape. Easily accessible from Highway 101, it's a perfect spot to enjoy a quieter beach experience, even on busier days.

Crescent Beach: For the more adventurous, Crescent Beach is a hidden gem off the beaten path. Accessible at low tide by walking around the point at North Beach, near Breaker’s Point condos, or by hiking a trail from Ecola State Park Road. Be prepared to walk, as parking is unavailable on the road.

Haystack Rock: Standing 235 feet above sea level, this iconic basalt monolith, flanked by "The Needles," is a product of a 17-million-year geological process. Haystack Rock is a protected wildlife sanctuary, home to tufted puffins, pelagic cormorants, pigeon guillemots, and western gulls. The tide pools at its base, known as Marine Gardens, are federally protected, and visitors are urged to explore with care to preserve this delicate ecosystem.

Hug Point Recreation Site: Just 5 miles south of Cannon Beach, Hug Point offers a romantic beach setting complete with ocean-carved caves, a waterfall, and a historic man-made road around the point. It's a must-visit for those seeking both beauty and history.

Indian Beach: Located at the far north end of Cannon Beach, this stunning cove is reached by a scenic drive through Ecola State Park.

Indian Beach is a popular spot for surfers and kayakers, and it's well worth the 3-4 mile drive through the forested park.

Sunset Beach: Sunset Beach State Recreation Site is the western trailhead of the historic Fort-to-Sea Trail, a 6.5-mile route that traces the journey of Lewis and Clark during the winter of 1805-6. With sweeping views from Cape Disappointment to Ecola State Park, Sunset Beach offers direct access to the Pacific Ocean and a bit of history.

Tolovana Beach & Wayside: Located adjacent to the Tolovana Inn.  The Tolovana Beach offers convenient access with a large parking lot. From here, you can walk north to Haystack Rock or south to Silver Point for a relaxing coastal experience.
