Yoga practitioners to convene in Cannon Beach

6th Annual Cannon Beach Yoga FestivalYoga practitioners of all levels will gather for a weekend of yoga, meditation workshops and even Bollywood dancing during the 6th annual Cannon Beach Yoga Festival, February 26-29.

All under the guidance of renowned instructors, the ever-growing event offers an array of events for for beginners, instructions, and even parents and children.

Several main yoga sessions will be held at the Tolovana Inn, which is offering special rates for festival goers. The complete festival schedule of events can be seen here.

“Cannon Beach is a perfect location for a wellness weekend getaway,” said festival director Christen Allsop. “Our picturesque beach and small town charm really delivers on hospitality.”

Guest instructors include Simon Chokoisky, a teacher at the renowned Ayurvedic Institute in New Mexico; Julie Gudmestad, PT, a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher, physical therapist, director of Gudmestad Yoga Studio in Portland and columnist for Yoga Journal; Sarahjoy Marsh, a yoga teacher, therapist and founder of DAYA Foundation, a nonprofit yoga center in Portland; and Brad Waites, one of a few to be certified at the 2,000-hour level by the College of Purna Yoga.
