Puffins Return to Haystack Rock
April – July
Capistrano may have its swallows, but Cannon Beach has its puffins. Each spring, puffins that have spent the last eight months floating and diving on the open seas of the Pacific Ocean return to Cannon Beach’s Haystack Rock to lay eggs and raise their chicks.

Annual Fall Festival
SOLVE Beach & Riverside Cleanup
Join thousands of volunteers to clean up Oregon’s beaches. SOLVE projects are community driven and focus on cleaning up and restoring natural areas and neighborhoods with hands-on work. Stormy Weather Art Festival
For over 30 years, the first weekend of November has been one of Cannon Beach’s most popular annual events! The event still focuses on a wide range of visual and performing arts, offering the opportunity to meet artists and discuss their work, listen to local musicians, take in gallery events and experience why Cannon Beach has been recognized as one of “The 100 Best Art Towns in America.” This year’s line up includes concerts by Curtis Salgado and Lloyd Jones.
