Spot Gray Whales on their migration north along the Oregon Coast with a trained volunteer. Visit the Oregon State Parks website to view a map with a list of 24 designated locations and volunteer schedules.

Puffins Return to Haystack Rock

April – July

Capistrano may have its swallows, but Cannon Beach has its puffins. Each spring, puffins that have spent the last eight months floating and diving on the open seas of the Pacific Ocean return to Cannon Beach’s Haystack Rock to lay eggs and raise their chicks.

Spring Unveiling Arts Festival  dates tbd

Teams work during last year’s Sandcastle contest.

Independence Day Parade

There are few things better than celebrating America’s Independence day with a good, old-fashioned small- town parade.  Join the fun on Thursday, July 4 in Cannon Beach—either cheering from the curb or marching along the parade route.  Starts at City Hall at 11 a.m.

Fall SOLVE Beach & Riverside Cleanup

Join thousands of volunteers to clean up Oregon’s beaches. SOLVE projects are community driven and focus on cleaning up and restoring natural areas and neighborhoods with hands-on work. Winter Holiday Concert with The Trail Band   

Finish 2018 with some fun at the Coaster Theatre! The Trail Band is an 8-piece ensemble that creates an energetic blend of brass and string arrangements of traditional and original music featuring five great vocalists. The premiere historic music ensemble from the Northwest will kick off the evening performance at 7pm at the Coaster Theater.
