Welcome the Puffins Back to Haystack Rock!

In a twelve day event beginning on Earth Day, Cannon Beach will celebrate the return of the tufted puffins to Haystack Rock. Twelve Days of Earth Day Celebration in Cannon Beach
April 22 - May 3, 2010

For twelves day beginning April 22, the city of Cannon Beach will celebrate Earth Day and ending with the Spring Unvellig Art Festival April 30, May 1 & 2. Included in the celebration will be Haystack Rock Awareness Program interpreters, ongoing exhibits at the Cannon Beach History Center, a day of Backyard Farming and Gardening on the North Oregon Coast and more. Spring Unveiling Art Festival Weekend

April 30, May 1 & 2, 2010

The members of the Cannon Beach Gallery Group invite you to play along the shores of Cannon Beach and in the varied and beautiful galleries of our town. Nestled between the wild ocean and the coastal mountains Cannon Beach offers art and craft ranging from the playful to the sublime. On April 30, May 1st, and 2nd, 2010 each gallery will spotlight new work by their chosen artists. Sandcastle Day
June 19, 2010
View the sandcastles between 10 AM – 2 PM

Marvel at the amazing temporary works of art which will be washed away with the incoming tide or join in the sand sculpting at the annual Sandcastle Day. This is one of the largest sandcastle contests on the west coast, featuring several age divisions, kids through masters. Sculpting begins in the morning, and the creations of the sand are swallowed by the waves by mid-afternoon. To take part in the competition, call (503) 436-2623, Ext. 3. Learn more.

2nd Annual Event

Seventeen artists will paint, sculpt and photograph Cannon Beach, showing off the town and coastline through their eyes. 3rd Weekend of August

Meet the members of the Salt Makers party every summer during the 3rd weekend in August. Thanks to the Seaside Museum & Historical Society, the City of Seaside, Oregon State Parks and Washington State Parks, we are able to host a unique opportunity to "meet" members of the Corps of Discovery as they are preparing salt for their return trip home. Seventh-Annual Cannon Beach Cottage Tour
Saturday, September 11, 2010
1 PM - 4 PM

Historic homes in Tolovana Park, just five miles south of downtown Cannon Beach, will open their doors to the public for the 7th annual cottage tour. Ten early vintage beach cottages will be highlighted during the walking tour presented by the Cannon Beach History Center and Museum.
